Pre World Conference in Mauritius

The grand finale of the series of 16 Pre-World Conferences was held in Mauritius from 11th to 13th September, 2015. The event brought together more than 2,000 participants including SSIO members, Cabinet Ministers, Members of Parliament of Mauritius, Lord Mayor of Port Louis, heads of different faiths, and about 650 Sathya Sai youth.

Minister of Public Infrastructure and Land & Transport of Mauritius, Honourable Nandcoomar Bodha

The Minister of Public infrastructure and Land & Transport of Mauritius, Honourable Nandcoomar Bodha gave the opening address. He shared few of his precious experiences with Sri Sathya Sai Baba. A written message by the Honourable Prime Minister of Mauritius was also delivered by Minister Bodha.

Dr. Narendranath Reddy, Chairman, Prasanthi Council, captivated the audience by delivering three inspiring talks. He kept the audience enthralled by sharing his interactions with Sri Sathya Sai Baba, his personal experiences and other organisational highlights.

Mrs. Geetha Mohan Ram narrated amazing incidents and anecdotes where she experienced Baba’s love. Her sharing of these unique experiences sent waves of blissful rapture and amazement through the audience.

Inspiring and melodious songs kept the audience mesmerised. The youth staged a breath-taking musical programme and a play titled “live in love” by children and teen youth groups.

The delegates actively participated in the round table discussions. The final resolution forming a synthesis of all the findings, deliberations and discussions was presented on the last day.

Another highlight was an exhibition that reflected beautifully the conference theme, “Love is the Source; Love is the Path; Love is the Goal”. A blood donation camp was organised on the last day of the conference, collecting 100 pints of blood.
