Watermelon Juice

 

  • Watermelon - take out the seeds
  • Blend
  • Strain the pulp (if you wish to)
  • Chill and enjoy!

 

Peanut Chutney

 

Goes great with Idlis and Ragi Sankati!

  • 1 cup roasted peanuts
  • 6 to 9 Red chillis (dry roast)
  • 4-5 cloves of garlic
  • Tamarind Paste
  • Salt

Blend the chilli peppers first, then add everything else and include a small amount of water and blend until the chutney is not too chunky or too thin.

 

Ragi Sankati

A gluten-free dish that's high in protein, calcium, iron, and fibre, and excellent for controlling diabetes.

Spinach Dal

  • 1/2 cup of Toor Dal
  • 1/2 cup of big leaves of Spinach
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 small onion
  • a few cloves of garlic
  • Tamarind paste
  • 1-2 tsp of Mustart seeds, and 1-2 of Jeera (Cumin) seeds
  • Green chill pepper
  • Oil
  • Curry Leaves
  • Hing (Asafoetida)
  • Turmeric powder
