To Love God is to Follow His Command Implicitly
This should be the highest ideal by which officers seek to earn Bhagawan’s Grace.
And, yet, on the eve of the 10th Aradhana Mahotsavam, the hearts of devotees the world over were broken by a message from the Managing Trustee of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust (SSSCT) that created confusion and fear. The timing could not have been worse.
Despite repeated attempts by the SSSIO to find a solution that respects ALL devotees, the SSSCT drove a wedge with the SSSIO by refusing to discuss the propriety of the Global Council and ignored the SSSIO’s objections.
On November 24, 1987, Bhagawan dissolved the World Council due to the exponential growth of the International Organization. Later, Bhagawan personally established the Sri Sathya Sai World Foundation (SSSWF) and the Prasanthi Council (PC). He personally guided its bylaws. He commanded that the SSSWF and PC should govern and administer the International Organization. Swami instructed this Divine command to be published in the March 2006 issue of the Sanathana Sarathi, for the information of all devotees.
That was the last word on this matter by Bhagawan. The SSSIO was never under the authority of the SSSCT. The SSSIO was always guided by Bhagawan in His physical form and continues to be guided now and forever. Why is the SSSCT disobeying this Divine Command to cause disunity and disharmony?
The Managing Trustee now crafts a message of unity to hide the expressed words of his own proposal for the Global Council, particularly that the functioning of all Sri Sathya Sai Trusts in India and abroad will be under the authority of the SSSCT and the Global Council will be bound by the orders and instructions of the SSSCT. Why does the SSSCT seek total control? How will this domination advance the Sai Mission globally? These objections have never been answered.
The only obligation of officers should be to serve Swami’s Mission and His devotees selflessly, with humility and dedication, seeking nothing but His Grace.
Prasanthi Nilayam was built by Bhagawan Himself and He expanded it only for the convenience of His devotees. It is heart-breaking that those who do not succumb to the Managing Trustee’s demands are threatened that Bhagawan’s hospitality will be withdrawn. Bhagawan teaches us to have unconditional love and this action is completely contrary to that.
Blessed are those who know that the true purpose of their engagement with the Sathya Sai Organization is Self-Realisation.
To Love God is to follow His Command implicitly.
