In 2023, SSSIO held online celebrations of several festivals and events outlined below.
Chinese New Year
On February 5, 2023, celebrations of the Chinese New Year 2023, Chap Goh Mei (Lantern Festival) – The Year of the Rabbit were broadcast online. The colorful and inspiring program was titled Let There Be Peace in the World. The online event shared how we can practice peace at the individual, family, society, national, and world levels based on the universal teachings of Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
Buddha Poornima
Buddha Poornima was celebrated on May 5, 2023, with an online program, Panchasila (Five Precepts for Purity of Mind and Peace). The multi-cultural, multi-national presentation highlighted Buddhist prayers and songs from many countries, greetings by Buddhist monks, inspiring talks, and presentations by Young Adults and children.
Guru Poornima
On July 2, 2023, SSSIO members worldwide celebrated Guru Poornima by offering their love, devotion, and gratitude to Lord Sai through an online program, Who is the True Sadguru? The program shared inspiring experiences of devotees from around the world and uplifting songs.
Worldwide Akhanda Bhajan
The SSSIO welcomed everyone to join 24 hours of continuous devotional singing (bhajans) in various languages and traditions from around the world. The online program, broadcast from November 11 to 12, 2023, expressed our love for Swami by singing melodious songs accompanied by a variety of musical instruments, filling the atmosphere with divine vibrations.
Birthday
On November 22, 2023, SSSIO celebrated the 98th Birthday of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba with a program titled The Blossoming of Sai Within is His True Birthday. Four devotees who received Swami’s grace shared their inspirational stories. Interspersed with music and songs, the presentation culminated with Swami's divine discourse on how to win His grace and derive ananda.
Christmas
Christmas was celebrated joyously on December 24, 2023, with a presentation titled The Path to Peace. The 80-minute program was about the divine teachings of Jesus and Baba, illustrated through inspiring talks, melodious music, captivating drama, and videos.
Akhanda Gayatri Chanting
SSSIO broadcasts 24 hours of Worldwide Akhanda Gayatri chanting with Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba every two months. Initiated during the global pandemic as a prayer to relieve suffering around the world, this program has attracted thousands of viewers each year. Gayatri is a universal prayer that is addressed to the immanent and transcendent divine. The broadcast consists of Swami's
