ANNUAL REPORT

2019 - 2020

Love more and more people, love them more and more intensely; transform love into service, transform service into worship; that is the highest spiritual practice.
Sri Sathya Sai Baba, July 23, 2002

Dedication

With love, reverence, and gratitude, the members of Sri Sathya Sai International Organisation (SSSIO) offer the 2019 – 2020 Annual Report at the lotus feet of our dear Lord, Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba during the 95th Birthday celebrations in November 2020.

We are blessed and fortunate that this Organisation which bears the sacred name of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba was founded by Him, and continues to be guided and nurtured by Him. This is a spiritual, humanitarian, and service organisation with presence in about 120 countries (outside India) with more than 1,800 Sathya Sai Centres and Groups. As exhorted by Lord Sai, the purpose and goal of this organisation is to help us realise and manifest our innate divinity and see the same divinity in all creation.

This Annual Report gives highlights of activities of the SSSIO in education, humanitarian relief, healthcare, leadership development, interfaith movement, go-green initiatives, and the activities of the Young Adults. Despite the challenges impacting the world, the SSSIO continues to serve humanity in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and disasters such as wildfires throughout the year 2020.

The latest example is the major food shortage in Africa, causing hunger for more than 250 million people. The SSSIO has provided more than 200 tons of food to Angola, Benin, Cameroon, Congo, Gabon, Ivory Coast, Madagascar, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa and Togo. SSSIO members have also supplied hundreds of thousands of kilograms of food and supplies in serveral countries, including but not limited to Australia, Canada, Guatemala, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Myanmar, Nepal, Russia, Sri Lanka, Ukraine, UK, USA, and Venezuela.

In addition, devotees have donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as face masks, face shields, hospital gowns, scrub caps, gloves and sanitizers, to healthcare professionals and the public in many countries. To dispel misinformation and provide reliable professional advice, the SSSIO organised two informative and educative webinars, for medical professionals and the general public respectively, in April 2020.

As an offering of love to Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba on His 95th Birthday, the SSSIO implemented a programme titled, “Adoption of Communities”, which provides education, healthcare, food, shelter, drinking water, and other services to around 160 communities in 40 countries outside India.

We pray to Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba to bless us with opportunities to selflessly serve with love and unity.

Samastha Loka Sukhino Bhavanthu (May All the Worlds Be Happy).

Jai Sai Ram.
